We support their " Animals for Africa" project by donating an in-calf  heifer each year and the funds to transport it to Africa.
Our most recent donation was an in-calf heifer which was sent to Kosovo in April 2010. This is the fourteenth year our Club has participated in this project.

We harvest approx: 300 bags of logs each year, working over a number of weekends in October and November. We distribute the logs to people who live in the general Ennis area, just before Christmas. If you know someone who could benefit from these logs at Christmas, please contact either the St. Vincent de Paul Society, or any member of the Lions Club. At Christmas 2010, we distributed nearly 240 bags of logs.

The Christmas Tree fundraising project started at Christmas 1998 with the first tree being erected and illuminated at the River Walk and Sculpture Trail in Ennis. It was inspired by the bombing in Omagh and the funds raised in the first year were used to allieviate the suffering of the people of Omagh.

It is now an annual event.

This year's (2010) funds were donated to the Brothers of Charity .

Each year the Lions Clubs in Ireland (District 105 I) take approximately 1,200 elderly people on Holiday for a week in June.

For the week itself, the Lions and helpers arrange quizzes, bingo, talent competitions, various novelty competitions and other activities to supplement the normal Trabolgan entertainments. Lions minibuses are on duty from 8.00 am to 1.00 am to transport guests to and from their chalets. A communications centre is operated to convey message to and from guests, and a full medical team (with 2 ambulances) is always on standby to deal with illnesses.
Each year we take 12 people to Trabolgan Holiday Park, and we will take 10 people again in 2010. The event took place from 14th to 21st June this year.

Project Leader - Lion Maria Molloy.

Each year approximately twenty to twenty five young people go abroad for a period of two to three weeks and are hosted by families of Lions members in their own homes.
At the same time a similar number of young people visit this country and are hosted by Irish Lions families.

This project is not restricted to family members of Lions. For further details, please contact any Lions Club Member.

We have nominated deserving young people in the Ennis Area for this prestigious award.
The last winner was Dermot Sheedy, of Darragh, who is a member of Ballyea Youth Club. He also plays Hurling and does martial arts.

We hold a number of social events during the year for Lions Club Member's and their wives, husband, and partners. These events help build a bond between our members and add to the fun of being a Lion. All events are funded entirely by the members.

We held a 10K sponsored walk on Sunday, 21st June last. The walk took us along the new Ennis Relief Road and back into Town via Harmony Row and the New Road. We had an excellent turnout and refreshments were provided afterwards in the Holy Family Centre for the walkers. We raised €880, which went towardss the cost of the Trabolgan Holiday Project.

The Lions Club of Ennis have given an undertaking to the Matron and Staff of St. Joseph's Hospital to up-grade the centre garden of the hospital for the enjoyment and benefit of the Patients and Staff.

On 7th December 2007 a cheque in the amount of €128,915 was handed over to St. Josephs to fund the new sun lounge.
