Lions Club of
Ennis
What Is the Friends of the Lions Club scheme?
This is a Frund Raising Scheme for the Lions Club of Ennis. It is designed for people who do not have the time to commit directly to the activities of the Club but who would like to contrubute in some way to the charitable and community efforts that we as a Lions Club undertake.
Contribution
The Scheme involves a financial contribution (Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly or Annually) paid into a special Friends of the Lions Club bank account, kindly administered for us by Allied Irish Banks. We have a specially designed Standing Order Form for ease of payment. Simply print off the form from the link Here, fill in the details and give it to your own Bank. It's as simple as that !
PROJECTS
The projects to be funded annually would be agreed by the Club at the start of each year. We have used the funds generated so far to fund a mix of Charitable, Community and Civic projects.
The Lions Club of Ennis have contributed significantly over the years to a number of local charities. Projects range from the installation of key equipment in the Intensive Care Unit of Ennis General Hospital, assisting with the building of Clarecastle Day care centre, the building of a recreational garden for patients residing in St. Joseph's Hosptal, to the organisation of district elderly holiday projects where some of the local senior citizens are brought on their first ever holiday outside of Co. Clare.
This is the first initiavive of it's kind in any Lions Club anywhere in the world so you are part of quite a unique band of people. On behalf of the Lions Club of Ennis, and all the projects which will be funded, I thank you most sincerely for your kind suppport.
